KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has rescheduled its Central Executive Committee meeting that was earlier set for 11 am on Tuesday.
According to Chief Secretary of the party office Krishna Prasad Poudel, the meeting will now convene at 1 pm at the party’s central office in Sanepa.
The meeting is expected to focus on candidate selection and electoral coordination with other political parties. Senior-level discussions are ongoing with the CPN-UML, Maoist Centre, and other parties regarding seat-sharing arrangements for the upcoming elections.
The Congress is seeking cooperation with other political forces to ensure representation in the National Assembly and strengthen its chances of winning the polls.
As part of these preparations, Acting Party President Purna Bahadur Khadka held talks with CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli at Gundu, Bhaktapur, on Monday evening, party sources said.
