Child killed in accident



CHITWAN: A child has died after being struck by a bus allegedly driven by the driver’s assistant.

The deceased has been identified as 10-year-old Ires Ghosle, an Indian national currently residing at Nagarban Road in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-3.

According to police, the assistant driver of the bus (Ba.Pra. 06001 Kha 0492) hit the child while reversing the vehicle for parking on Saturday night. Ghosle, who sustained serious injuries in the incident, died during treatment at Bharatpur Hospital.

The bus has been impounded, and the assistant driver has been taken into custody for further investigation, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabindra Khanal of the District Police Office.
