Around 18% voting recorded nationwide by noon



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission reported that approximately 18 percent of registered voters had cast their ballots by noon in the ongoing House of Representatives election.

Voting began at 7:00 AM across the country, and polling continues actively at most centers. By 12:00 PM, a total of 3,163,736 votes, around 18 percent of the electorate, had been recorded, Election Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said.

The commission added that voting is continuing nationwide in an enthusiastic and peaceful manner.
