EC reports 5.47% voter turnout by 10 AM nationwide



KATHMANDU: According to the Election Commission (EC) Nepal, 5.47 percent of registered voters had cast their ballots by 10 AM on Thursday during the House of Representatives election. Voting began at 7 AM across the country.

Out of a total 18,930,689 registered voters, 1,033,120 had voted by 10 AM, the commission stated.

The Election Commission also reported that, except for isolated incidents, no major untoward events occurred in the 165 constituencies nationwide.

By province, Gandaki Province recorded the highest turnout at 9.23 percent, while Koshi Province had the lowest at 3.53 percent.
