Independent candidate beaten up in Mahottari



JALESHWOR: Independent candidate Ram Adhar Kapar from constituency No. 3 of Mahottari has been beaten up by an unidentified group.

According to Superintendent of Police Heramba Sharma of the District Police Office, the incident took place in Jaleshwor Municipality–7 last night.

Kapar sustained injuries to his chest, back and other parts of his body in the attack. He is currently undergoing treatment in Janakpur.

Superintendent of Police Sharma said Kapar informed the police after the assault, following which a police team reached the site, rescued him and sent him to hospital for treatment.

Police have launched a search for the attackers, who fled the scene before the security personnel arrived.
