Prohibitory order imposed in four major areas of Birgunj



BIRGUNJ: The District Administration Office (DAO), Parsa, has imposed a prohibitory order in four major areas of Birgunj Metropolitan City to maintain law and order.

According to an order issued by Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal, all forms of gatherings, assemblies, rallies, and demonstrations have been banned from 1 pm on Monday until further notice.

The administration said the prohibitory order has been enforced in line with the decision of the District Security Committee, in accordance with Section 6(3a) of the Local Administration Act, 2028.

The DAO has warned that anyone found violating the order will be taken into custody and subjected to legal action as per the law.

The prohibitory order is in effect from the Bus Park in the east to Sirsiya Bridge in the west, Power House Chowk in the north, and Shankaracharya Gate in the south.

Stating that the order was issued to ensure peace and security, the administration has urged the general public to cooperate.
