Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 144.02, while the selling rate stands at Rs 144.62.

The buying rate of one European euro is Rs 168.79 and the selling rate is Rs 169.49. Likewise, one UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 193.85 and sold at Rs 194.66, while the Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 181.77 and a selling rate of Rs 182.53.

Similarly, the Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 96.40 and sold at Rs 96.80, the Canadian dollar at Rs 104.91 for buying and Rs 105.34 for selling, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 111.96 for buying and Rs 112.43 for selling.

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at Rs 9.18 and the selling rate at Rs 9.22. One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 20.59 and sold at Rs 20.68. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 38.40 and a selling rate of Rs 38.56, while the Qatari riyal is being bought at Rs 39.40 and sold at Rs 39.57.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht is Rs 4.57 and the selling rate is Rs 4.59. The UAE dirham is being bought at Rs 39.21 and sold at Rs 39.38, the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 35.53 for buying and Rs 35.67 for selling, and 100 South Korean won at Rs 9.98 for buying and Rs 10.03 for selling.

Likewise, the Swedish krona has a buying rate of Rs 15.62 and a selling rate of Rs 15.68, while the Danish krone is being bought at Rs 22.60 and sold at Rs 22.69.

Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.48 and the selling rate at Rs 18.56. The Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 468.46 and sold at Rs 470.42, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 382.02 for buying and Rs 383.61 for selling, and the Omani rial at Rs 374.07 for buying and Rs 375.63 for selling. Similarly, the buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160.00, while the selling rate stands at Rs 160.15.

The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that rates offered by commercial banks may vary, and the latest exchange rates are available on the Nepal Rastra Bank website.
