Two killed in motorcycle accident in Tanahun



DAMAULI: Two people died after a motorcycle they were travelling on met with an accident in Bhanu Municipality-10 of Tanahun district.

The deceased have been identified as 45-year-old Shankar Pandey and 65-year-old Tankaniti Pandey, both residents of the same locality, according to the District Police Office, Tanahun.

The motorcycle (Ga 19 Pa 8065), travelling from Hatiya towards Chisapani, lost control and plunged about 10 metres off the road.

Both victims sustained serious injuries in the accident and were taken to separate hospitals for treatment. However, they died while undergoing treatment, said Police Inspector Manoj Pandey of the District Police Office.

According to police, motorcycle rider Shankar died at the Old Medical College in Chitwan, while Tankaniti died at the Provincial Hospital in Lamjung.
