JULMA: Six companies contracted to construct and upgrade roads along the Karnali Highway have been blacklisted for violating contractual obligations.

The companies were also contracted to maintain roads along the route connecting Jumla with the Manang and Mustang districts. The Public Procurement Monitoring Office took action against the companies following recommendations from the concerned road office.

Shravan Kumar Mahatara, chief of the Road Division Office in Jumla, said the office had initiated action against the construction companies and forwarded the cases to the central office in Kathmandu.
