Phidim Municipality contributes Rs 4.7 million to disaster relief fund



PANCHTHAR: Phidim Municipality has contributed Rs 4.7 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support survivors of the recent devastating floods that affected the Bhotekoshi-Trishuli river system.

According to Mitra Prasad Kafle, mayor of Phidim Municipality, the amount was collected from elected representatives, teachers and municipal employees before being deposited into the relief fund.

Mayor Kafle said the municipality expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by the disaster and extended its condolences and solidarity to the affected families.

The municipality said the contribution was intended to support relief and recovery efforts for communities affected by the floods.
