Tirtha Prasad Shrestha appointed PADT member-secretary



KATHMANDU: The government has appointed noted author Tirtha Prasad Shrestha as the member-secretary of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT).

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadak Raj Paudel, who also chairs the PADT Governing Council, appointed Shrestha through a ministerial decision made on July 1–2, according to the ministry.

Shrestha has already assumed office.

After taking charge, he pledged to facilitate worship and religious activities at the Pashupati Temple, strengthen transparency in the Trust’s operations, and work towards preserving the cultural, traditional, and religious heritage of the Pashupati area.
