One dead after drunken altercation in Bajura



BAJURA: A man was killed following a violent altercation between two intoxicated individuals in Kotila, Budhinanda Municipality-6, Bajura, on Thursday morning.

According to police, Nir Rawat died after a dispute with Tekendra Rawat at a local eatery escalated into a physical confrontation.

Police Inspector Gagansingh Bhat of the District Police Office, Bajura, said Nir died on the spot after being struck by a stone allegedly hurled by Tekendra, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol.

Police have launched an investigation and are collecting further details about the incident, Inspector Bhat said.
