KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign exchange rates for today (Monday). The buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 151.56 and the selling rate at Rs 152.16.
Similarly, the buying rate of one euro stands at Rs 177.64 and the selling rate at Rs 178.35. The UK pound sterling is valued at Rs 205.75 for buying and Rs 206.56 for selling, while the Swiss franc is set at Rs 193.85 and Rs 194.62, respectively.
Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is priced at Rs 109.21 for buying and Rs 109.64 for selling, the Canadian dollar at Rs 111.54 and Rs 111.98, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 119.47 for both buying and selling.
The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.65 and the selling rate is Rs 9.69. The Chinese yuan is set at Rs 22.20 for buying and Rs 22.28 for selling. Likewise, the Saudi riyal is valued at Rs 40.41 and Rs 40.57, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 41.59 and Rs 41.76.
According to the central bank, the Thai baht stands at Rs 4.67 for buying and Rs 4.69 for selling, the UAE dirham at Rs 41.26 and Rs 41.42, and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 38.18 and Rs 38.33.
Likewise, the buying rate of 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.30 and the selling rate is Rs 10.34. The Swedish krona is priced at Rs 16.45 and Rs 16.51, while the Danish krone stands at Rs 23.77 and Rs 23.87.
The Hong Kong dollar has been fixed at Rs 19.35 for buying and Rs 19.42 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 494.08 and Rs 496.04, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 401.35 and Rs 402.94, and the Omani rial at Rs 393.64 and Rs 395.20. Similarly, 100 Indian rupees have been set at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
The central bank noted that exchange rates are subject to revision at any time as required. Rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated figures are available on the bank’s official website.
