Election Commission resumes voter registration and update program from Sunday



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission Nepal is set to resume its voter registration and voter list update program from Sunday. The decision was taken during a meeting of the commission held on April 1.

According to the commission, Nepali citizens who have obtained a National Identity Card number can register their names online by entering the required details linked to the card.

Spokesperson for the commission, Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, said those who have not yet obtained a national identity card must fill out an online form through the commission’s pre-enrolment system and submit biometric details, including photographs and fingerprints.

The commission stated that voter registration can also be completed by visiting provincial and district election offices.
