NRB sets today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign exchange rates for today. The buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 148.67, while the selling rate stands at Rs 149.27.

Similarly, the buying rate of one euro is Rs 171.62 and the selling rate is Rs 172.31. The UK pound sterling is being traded at Rs 196.76 (buying) and Rs 197.55 (selling), while the Swiss franc stands at Rs 186.22 (buying) and Rs 186.97 (selling).

The Australian dollar is priced at Rs 102.71 (buying) and Rs 103.12 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 106.76 (buying) and Rs 107.19 (selling), and the Singapore dollar at Rs 115.65 (buying) and Rs 116.11 (selling).

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.32 and the selling rate is Rs 9.36. The Chinese yuan is set at Rs 21.61 (buying) and Rs 21.69 (selling). Likewise, the Saudi Arabian riyal is priced at Rs 39.59 (buying) and Rs 39.75 (selling), while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 40.78 (buying) and Rs 40.94 (selling).

According to the central bank, the Thai baht is valued at Rs 4.57 (buying) and Rs 4.58 (selling). The UAE dirham is set at Rs 40.48 (buying) and Rs 40.64 (selling), the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 36.88 (buying) and Rs 37.03 (selling), and 100 South Korean won at Rs 9.85 (buying) and Rs 9.89 (selling). The Swedish krona is fixed at Rs 15.76 (buying) and Rs 15.82 (selling), while the Danish krona stands at Rs 22.96 (buying) and Rs 23.06 (selling).

NRB has also set the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.97 (buying) and Rs 19.05 (selling), the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 484.50 (buying) and Rs 486.46 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 393.83 (buying) and Rs 395.42 (selling), and the Omani rial at Rs 386.21 (buying) and Rs 387.76 (selling). The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, while the selling rate is Rs 160.15.

The central bank noted that these rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also stated that exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updates are available on the NRB’s official website.
