High-pressure system brings haze to Terai, partial clouds in hills



KATHMANDU: A high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere is currently influencing weather conditions across Nepal, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

At present, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces are experiencing partial cloud cover. Fog has also been reported in some of these areas as well as in parts of other regions.

This afternoon, haze is likely to persist in some areas of the Terai. The hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces will remain partly cloudy, while the weather in the rest of the country is expected to stay mainly clear.

Tonight, fog is likely to occur in a few places in the Terai. The Division has forecast partial cloud cover in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, with mainly clear weather elsewhere across the country.
