Jay Trophy Men’s Elite Cup to start on February 20



KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced that the Jay Trophy Men’s Elite Cup will be held from February 20 to March 3. CAN released the official schedule on Wednesday, confirming the dates and venues for the tournament.

The competition will feature the top four teams from last year’s Prime Minister Cup: Nepal Police Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, APF Club, and Bagmati Province. Matches will take place at the TU International Cricket Ground and the Mulpani International Cricket Ground.

The league stage of the tournament will follow a single round-robin format. The opening games on February 20 and 21 will see Tribhuvan Army Club face Nepal Police Club at TU International Cricket Ground, while APF Club will take on Bagmati Province at Mulpani Ground.

On February 23 and 24, APF Club will play Nepal Police Club at TU Ground, and Bagmati Province will meet Tribhuvan Army Club at Mulpani Ground. The league matches on February 26 and 27 will feature Nepal Police Club against Bagmati Province at TU Ground, with Tribhuvan Army Club facing APF Club at Mulpani Ground.

Following the league stage, the top two teams will advance to the final, which will be a three-day match scheduled from March 1 to 3 at TU International Cricket Ground.

The Jay Trophy promises exciting and competitive cricket action as Nepal’s leading teams compete for the title ahead of the international season.
