KAHTMANDU: Kathmandu Valley recorded an initial minimum temperature of 8 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, marking a rise from the previous day.
According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the temperature was measured at 8.0 degrees Celsius at 5:45 am today. At the same time on Tuesday, the minimum temperature stood at 6.1 degrees Celsius. However, the official minimum temperature recorded at 8:45 am on Tuesday was 5.8 degrees Celsius.
The Division said the official minimum temperature for Wednesday will also be recorded at 8:45 am and is likely to be slightly lower than the early-morning reading.
The Division measures minimum and maximum temperatures across the country, including Kathmandu, on a daily basis. The minimum temperature is recorded at 8:45 am, while the maximum temperature is measured at 5:45 pm.
The minimum temperature represents the lowest temperature recorded in a day, while the maximum temperature reflects the highest.
