MAHENDRANAGAR: The East-West flag march was launched this morning from the western border transit point at Gaddachauki in Kanchanpur, marking the 25th Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal Day.

Celebrating its Silver Jubilee, the Armed Police Force Nepal has initiated the march with the aim of promoting national unity, patriotism, and security awareness, according to the Armed Police Force Baidyanath Brigade in Attariya.

The march was inaugurated by Chief District Officer of Kanchanpur, Madan Koirala, and Deputy Inspector General Pradeep Pal, Commander of the APF Baidyanath Brigade.

The flag march seeks to raise public awareness about the role of the Armed Police Force and to reinforce a sense of dedication to the nation. On the occasion of its Silver Jubilee, the APF Nepal recalled its contributions to peace, security, and disaster management, pledging to play an even more effective role in the future.

According to the APF, the march is also intended to enhance coordination within the organization, strengthen team spirit, and foster stronger public relations with residents of border areas, local authorities, and other stakeholders.

The march, which began from the western border point, is scheduled to reach Kailali by next Tuesday. Following this, the Armed Police Force Sudurpaschim will hand over the march to Bardiya on Friday.
