Pathibhara witnesses second snowfall of the winter season

TAPLEJUNG: The Pathibhara area has witnessed its second snowfall of the winter season. The first snowfall this season was recorded on December 6.

Snowfall began in the Pathibhara region on Saturday evening, leading to a further drop in temperature, according to Rajendra Mahat, an employee of the Pathibhara Area Development Committee.

For the convenience of pilgrims visiting the renowned religious shrine, fiber roofing has been installed along the trekking route. This has made it easier for devotees to reach Pathibhara Dham even during rain and snowfall.

Pathibhara, situated at an altitude of 3,794 meters above sea level, traditionally received snowfall from mid-November. However, snowfall patterns have changed in recent years due to the impacts of climate change.
