NC urges Speaker to convene parliamentary meeting

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Parliamentary Party Leader Bhishmaraj Angdembe has urged Speaker Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal to convene a meeting of Parliament without delay.

During a meeting with Speaker Aryal on Monday, Angdembe, the parliamentary leader of the main opposition party, called for an immediate parliamentary session to discuss pressing political and national issues.

Angdembe argued that addressing important matters through ordinances goes against the spirit of democracy and stressed the need for parliamentary deliberations. He also called for discussions on issues concerning people affected by the Bhotekoshi floods.

Meanwhile, CPN (UML) Deputy Parliamentary Party Leader Padma Aryal, accompanied by party leader Guru Baral, also met Speaker Aryal. They discussed contemporary political developments and parliamentary matters.
