Prithvi Highway to remain closed for two hours today

DHADING: Traffic along the Prithvi Highway at Majhimtar in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-9, Dhading, will remain completely suspended for two hours today to facilitate ongoing flyover construction and road upgrading works.

According to the District Administration Office, Dhading, vehicles will not be allowed to operate along the affected section from 9 am to 11 am.

Traffic was also halted at the same location on Monday from 11 am to 2 pm. However, as the flyover construction work could not be completed, authorities have decided to suspend traffic again today to continue the remaining work.

Chief District Officer Laxmi Pandey said the decision was made based on information provided by the Nagdhunga-Mugling Road Project (Western Section), based in Mugling, Chitwan.

The temporary traffic suspension has been arranged to ensure that construction work is completed safely and systematically. Meanwhile, traffic has yet to resume on some highways across the country due to floods and landslides.
