KATHMANDU: Nepal is expected to experience generally cloudy conditions and rainfall in several parts of the country as the partial influence of monsoon and westerly winds continues, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.
The Division said there is currently partial cloud cover over the mountainous and hilly regions, with light rain occurring at one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
This afternoon, the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces are expected to remain generally cloudy. The mountainous and hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces will see partly cloudy conditions.
The Terai regions are also expected to remain partly cloudy. The Division has warned of the possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall at a few places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
Meanwhile, light rain is likely at one or two places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is also a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall at one or two places in the Terai areas of Madhes, Koshi and Bagmati provinces.
Tonight, light rain is likely at one or two places in the hilly and Terai areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, the Division said. The weather agency has advised people in areas expecting heavier rainfall to remain alert, particularly where rainfall could affect daily activities and local conditions.
