Moderate rain likely in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading

KATHMANDU: Moderate rainfall is expected in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading today, while the possibility of heavy rain in these districts remains relatively low.

Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari of the Weather Forecasting Division said current weather patterns indicate that the monsoon remains active across the country.

According to the division, a low-pressure system is positioned slightly north of its normal location in the western region and near its average position in the east.

The entire country is expected to remain generally cloudy this afternoon. Moderate rain and snowfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, are possible in some Himalayan and hilly areas.

Heavy rainfall is also likely in isolated areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, as well as in the hilly areas of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.
