Dr Yogendra Prasad Singh appointed chair of BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital



KATHMANDU: The government has appointed senior physician Dr Yogendra Prasad Singh as chairperson of the BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital in Chitwan.

Following his appointment, Dr Singh took the oath of office and secrecy before Minister for Health and Food Hygiene Nisha Mehta on Saturday.

The selection committee had shortlisted three candidates for the post—Dr Yogendra Prasad Singh, Dr Ajay Kumar Jha and Dr Bijay Chandra Acharya.

Dr Singh retired from Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital after 46 years of service and is regarded as a senior figure in Nepal’s health sector.
