KATHMANDU: The visa fee for Nepali workers travelling to South Korea under the Employment Permit System (EPS) has been increased, the EPS Korea Section under the Department of Foreign Employment announced.
In a public notice, the branch said the revised fee has been implemented in accordance with a decision of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal.
According to the notice, the visa fee has been increased by Rs 600, raising the total amount from Rs 10,700 to Rs 11,300. The revised fee has been implemented based on a letter received on July 1.
The new fee applies to applicants who have obtained a Confirmation of Visa Issuance (CCVI) under the EPS and are submitting their CCVI application forms.
Applicants are required to deposit the fee into the designated Nepal Bank Limited account at the Gabahal Branch, Lalitpur, in the name of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.
The EPS office has instructed applicants to submit the original bank payment voucher along with the CCVI form by appearing in person at the EPS office.
The notice also cautions applicants to ensure the payment is made only once, stating that any duplicate payment made in the name of the same applicant will not be refunded.
