Four new scrub typhus and dengue cases reported in Chitwan



CHITWAN: Four new cases of scrub typhus and dengue have been reported in Chitwan district over the past 24 hours.

According to the daily update released by the Chitwan District Public Health Office, two cases of scrub typhus and two cases of dengue were confirmed during the period. All four infected individuals are residents of Ratnanagar Municipality.

With the latest cases, the cumulative number of scrub typhus patients in the district has reached 549, while dengue cases have climbed to 218.

The public health office stated that scrub typhus was confirmed in 549 people out of 7,903 tested so far. Similarly, dengue infection has been detected in 218 individuals out of 7,487 people tested.

Health authorities have urged the public to remain alert and follow preventive measures as both infections continue to be reported in the district.
