Fog in Terai, light snowfall likely in high hills



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that a westerly low-pressure system is currently influencing the country’s weather, resulting in partly cloudy conditions across Nepal.

Fog and mist are likely in some parts of the Tarai region today. The department has forecast generally cloudy weather in the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Karnali, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces, while the remaining mountainous areas are expected to experience partly cloudy conditions.

There is also a possibility of light snowfall at one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country.

Later tonight, fog is expected to persist in a few places in the Tarai region. Generally cloudy conditions will continue in the hilly and mountainous areas, with chances of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and mountains.
