CAN unveils Nepal’s 2026 annual cricket calendar

KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has unveiled its annual cricket calendar for 2026, outlining a packed schedule of international and domestic tournaments for Nepal’s men’s, women’s and age-group teams.

CAN made the announcement during a press conference on Saturday. The calendar includes ICC events, ACC tournaments, bilateral and triangular series, as well as major domestic competitions.

According to the schedule, January will see Nepal host the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier. In February, the Nepali men’s team is set to participate in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, while a Women’s Premier Cup has also been proposed during the month.

In March, the men’s team will compete in the ICC League 2 series, while the women’s team is slated to play a bilateral series. The U-19 men’s team will tour Bhutan during the same period.

The calendar shows Nepal ‘A’ team matches and women’s international series in April, along with fixtures for the U-19 women’s team.

During May, the men’s team will play League 2 and T20I series, while Nepal ‘A’ and the women’s team will also be involved in international assignments.

In June, the men’s team will feature in a T20I series, while the U-19 women’s team is scheduled to tour Malaysia.

July includes another League 2 series for the men’s team, the Women’s Asia Cup, and the U-16 East Zone Cup.

In August, Nepal will compete in the ACC Premier Cup, play a T20I series against Kuwait, and once again participate in the Top End T20 series.

The men’s team will play a bilateral series in September, while the women’s team will face UAE in an international series.

In October, Nepal will feature in another League 2 series, and the women’s team will take part in a tri-nation series.

The highlight of November will be the Nepal Premier League (NPL), while December will feature international series for both men’s and women’s teams, concluding a busy year of cricket for Nepal.

CAN said the calendar reflects its focus on consistent international exposure, structured age-group development, and strengthening domestic competitions throughout 2026.
