KATHMANDU: A hot day is likely in the Terai areas of Madhesh and Koshi Provinces today, while weather conditions across much of the country are expected to remain generally cloudy.
According to the Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the mountainous and hilly regions will remain generally cloudy this afternoon, while the Terai will see partly cloudy conditions.
The Division has also forecast the possibility of moderate to heavy rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in the mountainous and hilly regions, and at one or two places in the Terai areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
Tonight, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy in the mountains, partly cloudy in the hills, and mostly clear in parts of the Terai.
Light rain or snowfall is also possible in one or two locations in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces, as well as in parts of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces.
