POKHARA: The Gandaki Provincial Government is set to present its policy and program for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84 today.
Provincial Chief Dilliraj Bhatta will present the government’s policy and program during a meeting of the Provincial Assembly scheduled for 4:00 pm, according to Provincial Assembly Secretary Govinda Poudel.
The presentation comes ahead of the provincial budget announcement, which, under constitutional provisions, must be tabled on June 15.
The budget session of the Gandaki Provincial Assembly began on May 25. During the ongoing session, lawmakers have already held discussions on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill, the Provincial Assembly Secretariat said.
