28 arrested in drug busts across multiple districts



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 28 individuals from various parts of the country in possession of illegal drugs during routine patrol operations.

According to the Central Police News Room, one person was arrested from Koshi Municipality-8, Bhantabari, Sunsari; seven from Bhadrapur Municipality-5, Narsingh Bagan, Jhapa; one from Kankai Municipality-6, Kyampa; and three from Mithila Municipality-10, Ratupul, Dhanusha.

Likewise, one person was arrested from Dhanushadham Municipality-9, Dharapani; one from Janaki Rural Municipality-5, Banke; three from Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City-16; two from Tikapur Municipality-9, Baluwatar, Kailali; and one from Lamkichuha Municipality-1, Bharuwa.

In addition, four individuals were arrested from different locations in Kathmandu, two from Kohalpur Municipality-4, Banke, and two from Bagmati Rural Municipality-3, Bhattedanda, Lalitpur.

Police also recovered cash from some of the suspects. All arrests were made on Wednesday.
