At least 35 killed in US-Israeli strikes on Iran’s Fars province; total death toll in attacks rises to 555

TEHRAN: At least 35 people have been killed in the southern Fars Province of Iran due to US and Israeli attacks, the Iranian Red Crescent Society has reported. The ongoing strikes across multiple provinces have so far claimed 555 lives in the country.

The Red Crescent said many more people have been injured in the assaults, and several buildings have also been damaged during the bombardment.

In a separate development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China confirmed that a Chinese citizen was killed in Tehran amid the escalation of attacks, adding an international dimension to the growing crisis.

Iran strikes Saudi oil facility

Meanwhile, Iran has launched an attack on the largest oil company in Saudi Arabia, targeting the Saudi Aramco Tanura refinery. Following the drone strike on Monday, the Ras Tanura Refinery was shut down, disrupting one of the world’s key energy production sites.

The shutdown of the refinery triggered a sharp reaction in global energy markets, with Brent crude oil prices surging by 9.32 percent amid heightened supply concerns.

Tensions remain high in the region as the cycle of attacks and counterattacks continues, raising fears of further escalation and wider international implications.
