Nepal Airlines cancels Gulf flights amid airspace closure



KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines Corporation has cancelled its Kathmandu–Dubai–Kathmandu (RA 229/230) and Kathmandu–Doha–Kathmandu (RA 239/240) flights scheduled for March 2 and 3, 2026, citing the ongoing situation in the Gulf region and the closure of airspace in the region.

In a notice issued to passengers, the national flag carrier said the decision was taken in view of the prevailing circumstances affecting flight operations.

The corporation has apologized for the inconvenience caused to passengers due to the cancellations.

Regarding upcoming flights to and from Dubai, Doha and Dammam, the airline has requested passengers to proceed to the airport only in accordance with official information disseminated by the corporation or after contacting designated contact numbers.

Passengers have been advised to regularly check the official website and social media platforms of Nepal Airlines for the latest updates.
