KATHMANDU: An all-party meeting has been scheduled for today to discuss the Bhotekoshi flood disaster, including the search for missing people, rescue operations, relief distribution and rehabilitation.
According to Jagadish Kharel, spokesperson for the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), the meeting will be held at 2 pm at the RSP parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar.
The meeting is expected to discuss the damage caused by the Bhotekoshi floods, the search for missing people, rescue of those affected, distribution of relief materials and rehabilitation efforts.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development has formed a task force to help restore normalcy for citizens affected by the Bhotekoshi floods in Rasuwa. According to the ministry, the task force has been formed with the objective of carrying out initial rehabilitation and necessary management works within 21 days.
The task force will facilitate the identification, coordination and implementation of necessary works related to roads, bridges, drinking water, suspension bridges, debris management, communications and health services in the affected areas.
