Four parliamentary committees scheduled to meet today



KATHMANDU: Meetings of four different committees under the Federal Parliament are scheduled to take place today.

The meetings include the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee, the Industry, Commerce and Labour and Consumer Interest Committee, the Parliamentary Hearing Committee, and the International Relations and Tourism Committee.

The Education, Health and Information Technology Committee is set to convene at 9:00 am at Singha Durbar. The agenda includes discussions on the National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill.

The committee has invited the Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, the ministry secretary, the law secretary from the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, and the Executive Director of the National Forensic Science Laboratory to participate in the meeting.

Likewise, the Industry, Commerce and Labour and Consumer Interest Committee will meet at 9:30 am at Singha Durbar to discuss matters related to the committee’s internal procedures.

The Parliamentary Hearing Committee is also scheduled to meet at 9:30 am at Singha Durbar. The committee will hold internal preparations for upcoming parliamentary hearing-related activities.

Similarly, the International Relations and Tourism Committee will meet at 11:00 am at Singha Durbar.

According to the agenda, the committee will discuss preparations being made by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to observe 2027 as a Wellness Year.

The meeting will also review the implementation status of directives issued to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal and the ministry, along with discussions on further progress achieved thereafter.
