Woman found dead inside sack under bridge in Jhapa identified



DAMAK: The identity of a young woman found dead inside a sack under the Ratuwa Khola bridge in Damak Municipality-10, Jhapa, has been confirmed.

According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, the deceased has been identified as 21-year-old Rama Tiwari (Roma Tiwari), a resident of Ward No. 8, Basantatol, Damak Municipality, and daughter of Narayan Tiwari.

Her parents, Narayan and Muna Tiwari, identified the body after it was brought for examination, police said. Authorities have stated that further investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Police said Tiwari had left her home on the night of May 27 at around 9:30 pm and had not returned since then.

Her body was discovered on Saturday morning under the bridge at Setumari in Damak-10, inside a sack bound with rope. Locals had alerted the police after spotting the body near the Ratuwa River.
