KATHMANDU: Amisha Parajuli, who faced cyber attacks after expressing support for KP Sharma Oli, has filed a complaint with the Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police.
Parajuli lodged the complaint at the bureau in Bhotahiti, Kathmandu, alleging character assassination and online abuse. She was accompanied by her mother, sister, and other family members during the filing.
According to Police Superintendent Dilip Kumar Giri, the complaint has been officially registered, and further action will be taken after reviewing the details.
Parajuli had participated in protests organized by the CPN-UML demanding the release of Oli, who was arrested on allegations related to the Gen-Z movement crackdown.
Following her participation, she became a target of online harassment, particularly from individuals associated with supporters of the Rastriya Swatantra Party.
In recent days, Parajuli has reportedly received threats and abusive messages on social media, with users engaging in character attacks and spreading defamatory content.
Police said the case will be investigated, and necessary legal action will be taken against those found responsible.
