Foreign currency exchange rates fixed for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the official foreign exchange rates for today (Sunday). The buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 145.27 and the selling rate at Rs 145.87.

The buying rate of one euro stands at Rs 171.47 and the selling rate at Rs 172.18. Similarly, the UK pound sterling is valued at Rs 195.82 for buying and Rs 196.63 for selling, while the Swiss franc has been set at Rs 188.06 (buying) and Rs 188.84 (selling).

The Australian dollar is priced at Rs 103.27 for buying and Rs 103.70 for selling. The Canadian dollar stands at Rs 106.25 (buying) and Rs 106.69 (selling), and the Singapore dollar at Rs 114.77 (buying) and Rs 115.24 (selling).

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.32 and the selling rate Rs 9.36. One Chinese yuan is valued at Rs 21.18 for buying and Rs 21.27 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal is set at Rs 38.73 (buying) and Rs 38.89 (selling), while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 39.86 and Rs 40.02 respectively.

Likewise, the Thai baht has been fixed at Rs 4.67 (buying) and Rs 4.69 (selling). The UAE dirham is valued at Rs 39.55 and Rs 39.72, the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.33 and Rs 37.49, and 100 South Korean won at Rs 10.08 and Rs 10.12 for buying and selling respectively.

The Hong Kong dollar has been set at Rs 18.57 (buying) and Rs 18.64 (selling). The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 475.52 and Rs 477.48, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 385.29 and Rs 386.88, and the Omani rial at Rs 377.34 and Rs 378.90. The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, while the selling rate is Rs 160.15.

The central bank stated that the exchange rates are subject to revision at any time as required. It also noted that rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated information is available on the bank’s official website.
