HoR election: 1,442 employees to be deployed in Baitadi



BAITADI: More than 1,400 employees will be deployed in Baitadi for the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) member election scheduled for March 5.

According to the District Election Office, a total of 1,442 employees will be mobilized across 214 polling stations in the district. Election Office Chief Khagendra Bharati said that details have been requested from local government offices to facilitate staff mobilization for the election.

He added that the process of collecting employee details and deploying them will be carried out within the next few days.

Baitadi has 11 candidates contesting in its single constituency, with a total of 156,372 registered voters. Among them, 78,987 are men, 77,383 are women, and two fall under the ‘other’ category.

Information Officer Naresh Dayal stated that eight employees will be deployed at polling stations with more than 500 voters, while seven employees will be assigned to stations with fewer voters.

From a security perspective, 33 polling stations in the district have been categorized as highly sensitive. According to the District Security Committee, of the 129 polling stations, 33 are classified as highly sensitive, 28 as sensitive, and 68 as general.
