Kathmandu’s minimum temperature drops again



KATHMANDU: After rising briefly on Saturday, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley has fallen again on Sunday.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu was recorded at 5.5 degrees Celsius at 5:45 am today. At the same time on Saturday, the temperature stood at 6.8 degrees Celsius.

However, the official reading taken later at 8:45 am on Saturday showed a decline, with the minimum temperature recorded at 5.8 degrees Celsius.

Today’s figure is based on the initial morning measurement. The official minimum temperature will be recorded again at 8:45 am, and meteorologists say it could drop slightly from the early reading.

Kathmandu’s minimum temperature has shown a fluctuating trend over the past few days. It stood at 7.5 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, fell to 6.2 degrees on Thursday and 5.3 degrees on Friday, rose to 5.8 degrees on Saturday, and has declined again today.
