Preserve cultural identity: PM Karki

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has urged everyone not to forget their culture, but preserve heritages and transfer knowledge to coming generation.

During the meeting with a delegation of Nepal Magar Association, PM Karki viewed preservation of original culture, customs and traditions and building knowledge on it to new generation is essential to protect identity.

She argued, “Whether it is political or cultural sector, youths’ role counts much. Diverse original traditions and cultures are our invaluable assets. We must preserve them.”

A team comprising Association Chairperson Gyanendra Pun Magar reached the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar with an invitation to a programme to be organised on Maghe Sakranti. Association office-bearers, artists and Gen Z campaigners were also present on the occasion.
