We will launch protests if no agreement us reached by Sunday: Durga Prasai

KATHMANDU: Durga Prasai, coordinator of the campaign for the protection of nation, nationality, religion, culture and citizens, has warned that protests will be launched if an agreement is not reached with the government by Sunday.

Speaking to journalists after talks with the government on Thursday, Prasai said the government had asked for time until Sunday to reach an agreement.

The talks were held at Singha Durbar in the presence of Prime Minister Sushila Karki. According to Prasai, the prime minister committed to finalizing an agreement by Sunday and taking a decision for its implementation through the Cabinet meeting scheduled for Monday.

Prasai said that if the government fails to act seriously and no agreement is reached by Sunday, the campaign will proceed with protests.
