Probe panel prepares to summon UML chair KP Oli for statement



KATHMANDU: The commission formed to investigate the incidents of September 8 and 9 is preparing to send a letter to CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli, asking him to appear for a statement.

Speaking to journalists outside the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Thursday, Commission Chair Gauri Bahadur Karki said preparations are underway to formally summon UML chair Oli in connection with the Gen-Z movement-related incidents.

When asked what action the commission would take if Oli does not appear after being summoned, Karki responded, “Tomorrow’s matter will be dealt with tomorrow.”

Karki also informed that the statement of former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has already been recorded.

He further said that the commission will submit its report within the extended deadline granted to it.
