NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign currency exchange rates for today (Wednesday), showing a slight decline in the value of the US dollar. According to the rates fixed by the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar stands at Rs 143.37, while the selling rate has been set at Rs 143.97.

The buying rate of one euro has been fixed at Rs 168.77 and the selling rate at Rs 169.47. Similarly, one UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 193.76 and sold at Rs 194.57, while the Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 181.80 and a selling rate of Rs 182.56.

For other major currencies, the buying rate of one Australian dollar is Rs 96.11 and the selling rate is Rs 96.51. One Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs 104.69 and sold at Rs 105.13, while the Singapore dollar has a buying rate of Rs 111.80 and a selling rate of Rs 112.27.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen has been set at Rs 9.20 and the selling rate at Rs 9.24. One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 20.51 and sold at Rs 20.60. Likewise, the buying and selling rates for the Saudi Arabian riyal stand at Rs 38.23 and Rs 38.39 respectively, while the Qatari riyal is being bought at Rs 39.33 and sold at Rs 39.50.

The buying rate of one Thai baht has been fixed at Rs 4.56 and the selling rate at Rs 4.58. The UAE dirham is being bought at Rs 39.04 and sold at Rs 39.20, while the Malaysian ringgit has a buying rate of Rs 35.43 and a selling rate of Rs 35.57.

Similarly, the buying rate for 100 South Korean won is Rs 9.94 and the selling rate is Rs 9.98. One Swedish krona is being bought at Rs 15.60 and sold at Rs 15.67, while the Danish krone has a buying rate of Rs 22.60 and a selling rate of Rs 22.69.

Nepal Rastra Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.42 and the selling rate at Rs 18.50. The Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 465.82 and sold at Rs 467.77, while the Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of Rs 380.26 and a selling rate of Rs 381.85.

Similarly, the Omani rial is being bought at Rs 372.87 and sold at Rs 374.43. The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, while the selling rate stands at Rs 160.15.

The central bank has noted that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also clarified that rates set by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updates are available on Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
