Dry landslide in Rasuwa injures one, damages some huts



RASUWA: A dry landslide occurred today at the Rasuwagadhi area in Rasuwa district has caused damage to several huts, leaving a youth injured.

Chief of Rasuwa Police, Hem Bahadur Shahi, said Bimaldas Tharu, 19, of Parsa district, who is presently working in a local workshop, was injured in the dry landslide. He has sustained serious chest and head injuries.

Tharu is rushed to Kathmandu for further treatment.

The dry landslide occurring for long has disrupted vehicular movement for long in the area. The dry landslide has caused damage to excavators, tractors, containers, jeeps and pre-fab buildings of the security bodies, a health desk in the Nepal-China border and a tea house.

As the dry landslide continued to happen in the Rasuwagadhi point, the police personnel kept themselves safe by going on the bank of Lehendekhola, according to the police.
