Indian PM Modi calls Nepal–India ties very special after meeting PM Oli in China



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi held a sideline meeting during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tianjin, China.

The two leaders met briefly in one of the halls of the SCO venue. Following the talks, Modi shared a smiling photo of the meeting on social media platform X.

“Glad to have met Prime Minister KP Oli of Nepal in Tianjin, China. The relationship between India and Nepal is deep and very special,” Modi wrote.

Meanwhile, sideline discussions among representatives of SCO member states are ongoing alongside the formal sessions.
