Gold price hits record high



KATHMANDU: The price of gold, which surpassed Rs 200,000 per tola on Friday, rose even further on Sunday, setting a new record.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders Federation, gold increased by Rs 3,000 in a single day, reaching Rs 203,600 per tola — the highest price ever recorded in the country. On the previous trading day, gold was priced at Rs 200,600 per tola.

Silver prices have also reached a historic high. The Federation stated that silver rose by Rs 65 per tola on Sunday, bringing the price to Rs 2,425 per tola. This marks a new all-time high, up from Rs 2,360 per tola on the previous day.
