Let’s build environment where all Nepalis can happily enjoy ‘Kheer’: PM Oli



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stressed the need of creating an environment where all Nepalis can happily enjoy Kheer on every Saun 15.

At a programme organised by the CPN (UML)’s Literary, Arts and Culture Department on Thursday, Prime Minister Oli urged one and all to involve in building an environment where all Nepalis could happily mark this day with Kheer.

Stating that there is no possibility of good paddy production following the drought in Tarai-Madhes this year, the PM argued that the government has been actively involving to make appropriate arrangement for irrigation in Tarai-Madhes.

The Prime Minister shared that he had already directed the bodies concerned to complete various projects like– Sunkoshi Marin Diversion, Rani Jamara Kulariya and Tamore soon.

Similarly, Department Chief and Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Raghuji Panta, mentioned that the Department has been organising ‘Kheer Khane’ programme every year to promote Nepali indigenous culture.
