Minister Bhandari inspects flood-damaged road in Dhankuta

BIRATNAGAR: Rewati Raman Bhandari, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of Koshi Province, conducted an on-site inspection of flood-affected road areas in Dhankuta on Saturday.

Representing the provincial government, Minister Bhandari coordinated efforts to restore road access. He said the damaged section near Mulghat—where approximately 30 meters of road was washed away earlier in the day—will reopen partially for one-way traffic by this evening.

Bhandari also stated that the provincial government has initiated coordination with local authorities and stakeholders to address the situation.

With the monsoon season beginning, the Koshi Province government has urged residents to remain alert. The minister added that necessary preparations have been made for disaster response and management.
